Guide to building a 4K Gaming PC under AED 10,000

If you’re willing to do the build yourself, you can make a perfectly capable 4K gaming PC for less than AED 10,000 and we’re here to show you how.

We’ve put together the components and crunched the numbers to put together a gaming PC that can handle 4K resolution in a wide collection of games.

This build packs an RTX 2080 Ti, an insanely powerful Ryzen 3800X, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB of pure NVME SSD and 1TB of SATA storage. This build is easily capable of playing most AAA games on great settings in 4K at 60fps without a problem. It’ll also work great for streaming your gameplay as well as recording/editing.

Processor: This build uses the Ryzen 5 3600. With six cores and 12 threads, and a 4.2ghz all core boost speed, this processor will push 100+ frames in almost all games, and 144+ frames in more than half of current titles. It trades blows with the Intel i5-9600K performance almost similar in gaming workloads while beating it consistently in everything else. At this price point, this processor is an absolute steal for the modern gaming PC.

Motherboard: The MSI X570-A PRO AM4 ATX Motherboard is built on the AMD X570 chipset, supporting second and third generation AMD Ryzen processors with an AM4 socket. It has four memory slots for up to 128GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM, which can be overclocked to up to 4400 MHz. For storage, it’s equipped with six SATA III ports and two M.2 slots. There are two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots for graphics cards, one of which runs at x4, and three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for other PCI-based hardware. Other integrated features include Realtek 8111H Gigabit Ethernet and Realtek ALC1220 7.1-channel HD audio.

Graphics Card: Since we’re aiming for 4K 60 FPS or 1440p 144FPS, we’ll be recommending NVIDIA’s Turing flagship, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti which costs almost half of the total budget. It’s way more expensive than it should be but it’ll help drive pretty much every modern title at 4K with all the settings up to ultra. There’s really no other option and if you want the best performance at 4K, this is the card you’ll want. An RTX 2080 Super falls short in more taxing games like Metro Exodus and lowering the graphic settings doesn’t always help.

RAM: The Ryzen 3000 chips are memory sensitive like their predecessors due to the chipset design and the use of the Infinity Fabric Interconnect. We strongly recommend 16GB of 3600MHz RAM kit for this 80K build.

Storage: For storage, we’re running a 1TB SATA SSD from Samsung’s 860 lineup as the primary drive and Seagate BarraCuda 1TB as the secondary drive. It’s a great starting point and will give you a good foundation to build on. 2TB will be more than enough space for Windows 10, all of your application, plus a library of games.

Power Supply: Thermaltake’s 850W power supply comes with all the bells and whistles of a high-end power supply and can be had for a great price. It’s fully modular and has RGB, what more do you want?

Case:The Eclipse P350X is a compact case designed with high performance in mind. Offering high airflow capability, E-ATX motherboard clearance, liquid cooling support, the P350X is ready for high-end configurations. Using the integrated Digital RGB lighting profiles, you can personalize your build with style.

Monitor: With a host of gamer-friendly features such as free sync, black stabilizer, and game mode, The LG 24UD58-B is one of the best 24-inch 4K monitor that offers amazing ultra-high-definition visuals and extra gaming-centric features

Keyboard & Mouse: Featuring adjustable DPI up to 2400, tactile keys for improved feedback and with 7 different LED color options, The Devastator 3 mouse and keyboard combo is a great and affordable package.
