The Clevisco Feather Mouse is a wired, ambidextrous gaming mouse aimed at FPS and esports gaming. Thanks to a honeycomb design, the mouse is lightweight at 140 grams. For just under AED 63, the Clevisco Feather Mouse offers seven buttons and a sensor with sensitivity of up to 5,500 DPI.
Packaging & Design
The Clevisco Feather Mouse comes in simple red and black box. Inside the box is the mouse and user manual.
The mouse is built entirely using plastic with a glossy textured finish. It is very compact and lightweight with its dimensions of 125mm x 39mm x 64mm and a weight of 140. The cable with USB 2.0 connector is 150cm long and somewhat flexible with little resistance.
The mouse looks simple with its honeycomb shell, making it lighter than a solid shell mouse. The top and both sides have triangular holes and the open mesh design allow for better ventilation and airflow.
There are a total of seven buttons on the Clevisco Feather Mouse but they are not customizable.
At the top are the two main mouse buttons, a scroll wheel with a rubber finish which is also clickable and two buttons to switch between different DPI settings.
The two main button switches at the top offer a durability of up to 20 million clicks. RGB lighting on the mouse can be controlled using the lower DPI button by pressing or holding them.
On the left are two side buttons that are easily accessible. However, the grip could be better as the plastic can feel slippery at times. There are no buttons on the right side of the mouse.
The Clevisco Feather Mouse is symmetrically designed and the mouse work wells for both left and right-handed users. The two side buttons on left side are easy to reach. Overall, the build quality is average, but the mouse feels durable and can adapt to most styles.
Performance
The Clevisco Feather Mouse comes with a 5,500 DPI sensor and offers sensitivity adjustment options using the DPI buttons at the top. The mouse doesn’t have a dedicated software for adjustment options and falls short here.
In our everyday test, the mouse performed with good overall impressions for the price segment in both productivity and gaming. The main buttons respond well and the side buttons are easily accessible.
Verdict
The Clevisco Feather Mouse is an affordable, ambidextrous mouse for gamers that comes with respectable performance for its class. With a lightweight design, its symmetrical shape offers versatility.
Couple of downsides include lack of dedicated software for customizations and the average build quality. However, this is a good choice if you are looking at a starter gaming mouse that is affordable, lightweight and hollow designed for quick movements.
