      The BenQ GW2485TC is a 23.8-inch FHD affordable monitor and comes with a 75Hz refresh rate and an IPS panel. The monitor is designed for optimum eyecare with a high refresh rate of 75Hz, 250 nits of peak brightness, 72% NTSC, 5ms response time with several eye care features built in.

      The monitor comes in a standard brown carboard packaging. Inside, all the components are well protected by foam. The packaging includes:

      The BenQ GW2485TC is entirely made of plastic and looks premium. The build quality is good and the stand feels durable and study enough to provide smooth movement. The monitor comes in a dark grey color and looks minimalistic overall. For wall or other types of mounting, the display is also compatible with the VESA mount.

      The GW2485TC has narrow, 3-sided bezels. All the ports are located at the back. In terms of connectivity, there are 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort in, 1x USB C, 1x DisplayPort out. There is a 3.5 mm jack connection for headphones. External measurements for this monitor are – width 540 mm, depth 184.9 mm, height 501.44mm, with a weight of around 6.2 kg.

      The DisplayPort out allows for creates a multi-monitor setup for extra screen real estate and a decluttered workspace. Once the monitor is attached to the base, it can tilt from 5˚ – 20˚, pivot 90˚ and swivel 45˚ each side. The height can be adjusted via a slide system up to 130 mm.

      The GW2485TC comes with a contrast ratio of 1000:1, horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 178 degrees with a 75Hz high refresh rate.

      The monitor has a 23.8″ VA panel with a 250-nit peak brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 72% NTSC gamut with a 75Hz high refresh rate. Color reproduction and image quality is good enough for work, casual entertainment and general use and the brightness is good enough for most conditions.

      Finally, there are some BenQ-exclusive features present here too, and that makes a worthwhile addition to the GW2485TC. They come in the form of the Color Weakness, ePaper, Flicker-free technology, Low blue light settings, and the Brightness Intelligence Plus (B.I.+). The latter is geared to automatically adapting and augmenting the on-screen picture, brightness and color warmth, depending on what is being displayed but also based on your real-life surroundings.

      ePaper Mode simulates a e-book effect with clear black and white reading layout makes a better reading experience. In Color Weakness Mode, red and green filters on the monitor help users with color deficiency distinguish colors more easily.

      Audio

      The monitor has a 2Wx2 audio system, which are located in the lower frame. The sound quality is good enough for small-medium sized rooms.
