Processor: AMD’s 2nd generation Ryzen 5 2600 is a powerhouse when it comes to sheer performance. Not only is it able to keep up with comparable Intel processors in gaming, but it’s currently destroying them in work-based tasks and pretty much anything CPU intensive. The R5 2600 comes with 6-cores and 12-threads that can boost up to 3.9GHz by default. When overclocked, the R5 2600 really wakes up and that’s when it’s real power starts to shine. The R5 2600 comes with a pretty good Wraith Stealth CPU cooler from AMD

Motherboard: The MSI B450A Pro is a good ATX-sized motherboard that delivers all of the features you’ll need for an AM4 socket build like this. With it, you’re getting integrated audio, a built-in ethernet controller, plus 6x SATA headers and 1x M.2 ports for storage. As well as every other connection point you’ll need for this build, and then some. With regards to fan headers, if you’re going to use more than 2 case fans, you’ll have to use a PWM connection splitter.

On top of that, the B450 chipset fully supports CPU overclocking which means you’ll have no problem cranking up the power on your R5 2600. IF you wanted to step up to an R5 3600 instead, this particular motherboard will allow you to update (flash) its BIOS without requiring an installed CPU – perfect for a fresh build that’ll be running a Zen 2 CPU.

Graphics Card: The GTX 1660 Ti is a great graphics card in terms of both price and performance, it’s easily the best GPU for this budget for HD Gaming. Gigabyte’s GTX 1660 Ti Gaming OC runs great, overclocks well, and doesn’t get too hot when being pushed hard. It offers 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM, 4 display outputs (1x HDMI, 3x DisplayPort), and a size profile that’ll fit inside practically any case out there.

RAM: When it comes to RAM, 16GB is more than enough for gaming, really. This amount is going to make sure that you can comfortably multi-task without any significant loss of performance. Ryzen CPUs like fast RAM and 3000MHz is excellent for this build.

Storage: For storage, we’re running a 1TB SATA SSD from Samsung’s 860 lineup as the primary drive. It’s a great starting point and will give you a good foundation to build on. 1TB will be more than enough space for Windows 10, all of your important programs, plus a handful of games once everything is said and done.

Power Supply: We’ve picked Thermaltake Litepower 550W which is an great power supply offering more than enough connections for everything you need, it also comes with a 2-year warranty.

Case: The CORSAIR Carbide Series SPEC-05 is a mid tower ATX case gaming case that combines a stylish and distinctive exterior with excellent cooling potential and a straightforward layout. The stunning edge-to-edge window shows off your build and SPEC-05’s roomy interior, able to fit up to six 120mm fans, multiple graphics cards and plentiful storage options.

Monitor: The ASUS VP228HE is an good, affordable LED widescreen monitor for Full HD gaming with 1ms response time. It also includes built-in speakers and blue light filter.

Keyboard & Mouse: Featuring adjustable DPI up to 2400, tactile keys for improved feedback and with 7 different LED color options, The Devastator 3 mouse and keyboard combo is a great and affordable package.
