Noteworthy for their ability to deliver lossless music and achieve industry-leading low latency, they offer studio master quality audio at 24-bit, 96kHz high resolution, facilitated by the aptX Lossless codec.

Traditionally, Bluetooth audio suffers from compression, compromising original content. But consumers may now experience up to 24-bit/96kHz lossless audio over Bluetooth while maintaining the richness of their music thanks to the aptX Lossless codec.

The Soundpeats Air4 Pro stands out with aptX Adaptive, which dynamically modifies bitrate for optimal audio quality and decreased latency—a feature that is particularly helpful in video or gaming scenarios. The earbuds are also certified for Hi-Res Audio.

These earbuds have a 13mm dynamic driver that produces clear mids and highs and a deep, powerful bass. With their prolonged and airy highs, they give spatial detail. Adaptive ANC, which is backed by a 6-mic system and the CVC noise-cancellation algorithm, offers clear communication even in noisy surroundings with noise reduction of up to 45dB.

These wireless earbuds are IPX4 waterproof rated, which protects them from perspiration and light rain whether exercising or engaging in outdoor activities. In terms of performance and audio quality, the Soundpeats Air4 Pro earbuds excel. Optimized by Snapdragon Sound technology, they deliver an exceptional listening experience, particularly with newer phones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. The 13mm dynamic driver ensures lossless audio reproduction with an impressive frequency response range of up to 24-bit/96kHz.

Out of the box, these earbuds provide a balanced audio profile suitable for multimedia playback and calls. However, optimal sound quality is achieved after some audio equalization.

The Air4 Pro delivers excellent sound quality across all volume levels, with its 13mm drivers producing solid and well-defined bass response that complements various music genres. Adaptive ANC modes perform effectively indoors, though effectiveness may vary in noisy environments. Enabling ANC enhances sound dynamics, albeit with potential wind noise outdoors.

The built-in microphone offers decent call quality, although motion during calls may slightly diminish voice detail, necessitating clear speech for optimal clarity.

Navigating the features and controls of the Soundpeats Air4 Pro may initially be confusing, but becomes intuitive with practice. This ensures effortless management of playback, volume adjustment, call handling, and noise cancellation mode switching, enhancing overall user experience.

There are many features and customization choices available in the SoundPeats companion app, which is compatible with both iOS and Android. You can easily upgrade the firmware and alter audio parameters, such as the equalizer settings, to customize the sound profile to your preferred musical style thanks to its user-friendly interface.

Using the app, keeping an eye on each earbud’s battery life is simple. It provides clear and precise information on the power status of individual earbuds ensures you are always informed about their remaining battery life. This feature enables you to plan your listening sessions effectively and avoid interruptions caused by low battery levels.

Connectivity and battery

The Soundpeats Air4 Pro earbuds pair with devices effortlessly thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 technology. Bluetooth 5.3 ensures consistent connectivity between the headphones and devices, removing any discernible latency.

The charging case has a 330mAh capacity, and each earphone has a 35mAh capacity. The earbuds have a 4–6 hour battery life when noise cancellation is turned on and 6 hours when it is off, depending on usage. It’s important to remember that variables like volume levels and usage patterns can affect how long a battery lasts. But the charging case adds two or three more charges, so the battery lasts longer overall.

Just slide the earbuds back into the charging case for another charge. It takes around an hour and half for the case to charge completely.

Soundpeats Air4 Pro Verdict

The Soundpeats Air4 Pro wireless earbuds present a compelling option at under $90. Delivering premium sound quality, effective noise handling, and an IPX4 water resistance rating, they are ideal for daily use. Their lightweight design ensures comfortable, secure wear throughout the day, while touch controls provide convenient access to music and calls.

However, drawbacks include the lack of fast-charging support, resulting in longer recharging times, and the absence of a power adapter or case cover in the package. Nevertheless, at its price point, the Soundpeats Air4 Pro offers excellent value.
