Huawei Ranks Third in the Global Tablet Market

Happy news for Huawei lovers. Huawei ranks third in the Global Tablet Market. A recent report by Canalys shows that Huawei has scored 51% of annual growth in the global tablet market for Q2 of 2024. The market analyst, Canalys, published its worldwide tablet shipments report on August 6, 2024.

The report also shows the company’s shipment figures and increased market share. This reveals that the company is steering ahead in the worldwide tablet race. The report underlines the fact that Huawei tablets experienced year-on-year growth of up to 51% in the second quarter of 2024.

This impressive performance has secured Huawei the third position among tablet brands globally. This demonstrates the company’s strength in both software and hardware capabilities, as evidenced by the recent launch of the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5”S series and the widely praised GoPaint digital painting app.

The groundbreaking tablet comes with the PaperMatte Display. This display substantially reduces screen glare and reflectivity, offering eye comfort. The launch of the GoPaint digital painting app has further helped Huawei’s market position. These regions helped the company reach new heights in the tablet market. Besides Huawei, Apple and Samsung are also among the top 3 list. Apple secures first position with 38.7% market share (13.9 million shipments of iPads). Samsung comes in the second position with a 12.7% year-on-year selling 6.7 million units in Q2 2024.

Kieren Jessop, an analyst at the research firm said that the tablet industry has had a positive first half of 2024, and the rest of the year should bring further relief after a difficult 2023. He added that the additional innovation in display and A I will further draw consumer interest, mainly for flagship tablets.

The Canalys published report also revealed that worldwide tablet shipments grew by 18% year-on-year with a total of 35.9 million units. Lenovo stands in fourth place with 6.9% of the market share. This includes 2.4-million-unit shipments and a progress rate of 16.3%. The fifth rank goes to Xiaomi with the highest annual growth. It holds 106.4% followed by Huawei (51%). The company shipped 2.1 million tablets and has 6% of the market share. Chromebook shipments also increased by 4% in Q2.
