While the two main lenses excel in delivering exceptional image quality, the 13MP wide-angle lens may not quite measure up to the same level of excellence. While it is sufficient for capturing landscapes or large group photos, the colors may appear less natural, and some ultra-fine details may be lost.

Switching to the front-facing camera, the Huawei P60 Pro ensures that your selfies are nothing short of stunning. The front camera captures good quality self-portraits, and with the added customizable bokeh effect, it effectively separates your subject from the background, adding depth and artistry to your photos.

When it comes to video recording capabilities, the P60 Pro doesn’t disappoint. You have the flexibility to record videos in impressive 4K resolution at 60fps, both with the rear and front cameras.

OS

Powering the Huawei P60 Pro is the latest iteration of Huawei’s operating system, EMUI 13.1. Built on the foundation of Android 13, this skinned version offers a range of unique features and enhancements tailored to enhance your smartphone experience. It’s important to note that the P60 Pro does not come with Google Play Services preinstalled. However, sideloading these services has become easier compared to previous generations, ensuring access to a wide range of applications.

Out of the box, you’ll find a selection of third-party apps that come preinstalled on the device. Fortunately, most of these apps can be uninstalled, giving you the freedom to personalize your device and reclaim storage space according to your preferences.

In terms of user interface, EMUI 13.1 introduces a fresh UI while maintaining the intuitive nature of previous versions. While the interface retains familiarity, it offers a high level of customization, allowing you to tailor the P60 Pro to your liking. Personalize your home screen layout, choose from a variety of themes, and arrange your apps to create a user interface that suits your style and needs.

EMUI 13.1 aims to deliver a seamless user experience, with smooth animations, optimized performance, and intuitive navigation. Enjoy a refined interface that prioritizes ease of use and accessibility.

While the absence of Google Play Services may be a consideration for some users, the ability to sideload these services provides a workaround, ensuring access to a vast library of applications.

Battery & Audio

The Huawei P60 Pro is equipped with a robust 4815mAh battery, ensuring that you have the power you need to get through a full day of use without constantly worrying about recharging. With its optimized power management, this device is designed to deliver impressive battery life, allowing you to stay connected and engaged for extended periods.

Huawei P60 Pro Verdict

The Huawei P60 Pro is a highly versatile flagship smartphone that caters to various needs, including entertainment, photography, work, and play. With its flagship-level performance, stunning display, and impressive camera system, this device offers a compelling package for smartphone enthusiasts. However, it’s important to consider a couple of compromises that come with it.

Starting with the positives, the P60 Pro delivers on performance, thanks to its powerful hardware configuration. Whether you’re multitasking, gaming, or running resource-intensive applications, this device handles it all with ease. The display is also a standout feature, offering a visually immersive experience with vibrant colors, excellent brightness, and a smooth refresh rate.

The camera system on the P60 Pro is another highlight, especially for photography enthusiasts. The combination of a high-resolution main sensor, telephoto lens, and ultra-wide-angle lens allows for capturing stunning images in various scenarios, including low-light environments and zoomed-in shots. The camera’s performance in low light and zoom photography is particularly impressive, producing sharp images with good noise control.

Fast charging is another advantage of the P60 Pro, allowing you to quickly replenish your battery when needed. This ensures that you can stay connected and engaged throughout the day without worrying about running out of power.

However, there are a couple of compromises to consider. First, the lack of 5G support may be a downside for users who prioritize high-speed connectivity. If you rely heavily on 5G networks, this device may not fully meet your expectations in terms of network performance.

Another consideration is the absence of Google Play Services, which need to be sideloaded. While the sideloading process is easier compared to previous generations, it still adds an extra step for users who rely on Google’s ecosystem of apps and services. This limitation may impact the overall user experience for those who heavily rely on Google Play Services.

In summary, the Huawei P60 Pro is a highly capable flagship smartphone that excels in many areas, including performance, display, and camera capabilities. It offers a versatile experience for entertainment, photography, work, and play. However, the lack of 5G support and the need to sideload Google Play Services are important factors to consider before making a purchasing decision.

Ultimately, if you can overlook these compromises, the Huawei P60 Pro provides a powerful and feature-rich smartphone experience that meets the demands of various use cases.
