Huawei Watch Fit 3

If you’re an Android user who loves the look of the Apple Watch but doesn’t want to pay the premium price, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 is a fantastic alternative. It offers a great display, solid battery life, and impressive fitness tracking features—all at a reasonable price.

THE GOOD
    THE BAD

Huawei has really stepped up its game with the Watch Fit 3, giving it a fresh redesign that sets it apart from its predecessors. This third-generation smartwatch has a more square shape, making it look less like a fitness tracker and more like a full-fledged smartwatch. With its larger display and a combination of a crown and button on the side, it even brings to mind the Apple Watch.

      Design and Build Quality

The Huawei Watch Fit 3 is available in a single size but comes in a variety of colors, including black, pink, silver, and gold. There’s even a silver version with striking red accents. Weighing only 26 grams and measuring just 9.9mm thick, this smartwatch is incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear throughout the day.

The body is made from aluminum, giving it a premium feel. On the bottom, you’ll find a heart rate sensor, and there are buttons on either side of the watch where the bands attach. Unfortunately, it uses proprietary connectors for the watch bands, which might limit your options for customization. The left side features a speaker, while the right side has a microphone and two buttons. The top button acts as a rotating crown, and the bottom one can be customized for quick access to your favorite features.

      Display

One of the standout features of the Huawei Watch Fit 3 is its 1.82-inch AMOLED display. It’s covered with 2.5D curved glass, and the screen-to-body ratio is an impressive 77.4%. The display is bright, reaching up to 1,500 nits, which means you can easily read it even in direct sunlight. The resolution is sharp, making notifications and fitness stats clear and easy to read. The bezels are slightly thicker at the top and bottom, but this doesn’t detract from the overall experience.

      Performance and User Experience

Using the Watch Fit 3 has been a smooth experience. The user interface has improved significantly, thanks to HarmonyOS, which makes navigating through apps and features a breeze. If you’ve used Huawei’s other smartwatches, you’ll feel right at home here. There are plenty of watch faces to choose from, and many are free to download through the Huawei Health app, giving you a lot of options to personalize your watch.

Battery life is another highlight. Huawei claims you can get up to 7 days of typical usage and even 10 days under optimal conditions. In my experience, I found that it easily lasted about a week with regular use. Plus, the watch charges quickly; just 10 minutes on the charger gives you a full day’s worth of battery life.

      Health and Fitness Tracking

When it comes to health and fitness tracking, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 doesn’t disappoint. It’s equipped with an optical heart rate sensor, an ambient light sensor, and a 9-axis IMU sensor that includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. The watch supports over 100 sports modes, making it versatile for various activities, from swimming to running.

That said, some users have noted that the sleep tracking feature could use some improvement, as it doesn’t always accurately capture sleep stages. The watch is also rated at 5 ATM for water resistance, so you can take it for a swim without worry.

In short, if you’re in the market for a stylish, lightweight smartwatch that does a great job of keeping you connected and tracking your health, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 is definitely worth considering.
